Our innate call to get lost. 

A whisper of curiosity from the wild that says ‘Come, you are destined for more.’ 

It speaks to you. Teases you. ‘An adventure awaits.’ 

This sense of wanderlust is a coming of age. A suspicion that we need to get lost to discover ourselves.

The ordinary walls of your home feel bare.

Your heart yearns for expedition and inspiration.

You wonder if a greater adventure awaits. 

My story began with that call. 

Following the untimely loss of my father at a young age, I found myself at a crossroad.

I was a young woman carrying the fragments of a broken heart, uncertain about my purpose, but equally fueled by an inner spirit - a deep and restless yearning to uncover who I was destined to be and what my purpose was.

It was as if a whisper from the wild (or my father himself) urged me to embrace a new adventure in search of self-discovery.

In Japan there is an art technique called "Kintsugi," where artists mend broken vases with gold.

It's an art form that honors imperfections, transforming scars into glistening seams of beauty.

My gold thread is this collection of storytelling imagery—a recounting of that journey of self-discovery that healed my own cracks and revealed the woman I always had the potential to be.

I've now come to realise that whilst I felt the call, getting lost wasn't necessary to discover myself.

The adventure and courageous spirit resided within me all along.

Now, my heartfelt mission is to take you on the same journey through my lens - storytelling imagery from all corners of the globe offering you a window into your own journey of self-discovery and speaking to your spirit of adventure without ever leaving your own home.
